The Filipino-American Friendship Park commemorates the close friendship between the Philippines and the United States. These close ties are symbolized by two statues of wartime buddies giving each other aid and comfort during the defense of the Philippines in World War II.
Surrounding the Filipino-American Frienship Memorial are numerous headstones commemorating the participation of various Philippine and United States miltary units in the defense of Bataan and Corregidor.
Here, we zoom in to get a look at the monument. The quotation in the foreground was written by Brig. Gen. Lee Telesco.
